Sony has revealed two digital SLRs, a flagship and a high-end amateur model, one of which will be launched later this year.

The enthusiast model (shown on the left) will be ‘targeted to a higher level of performance than A100 for advanced users’, states a sign on the stand displaying the cameras. It will use a new sensor.

We understand that the enthusiast model will be launched later this year and the pro-spec camera, next year.

The ‘flagship’ model will be aimed at advanced users and professionals, says the company. First impressions – from the angular shape of the pentaprism – indicate that this could perhaps be a full-frame model but this is purely speculation and we will keep you posted with news on this.
