Canon has rolled out the PowerShot G15 and the PowerShot SX50 at photokina.

The PowerShot G15 sports an f/1.8 5x lens, the fastest lens to date in the PowerShot series, according to Canon.

While the PowerShot SX50 HS features a 50x optical zoom, claimed to be the first of its kind for a compact stills camera.

It is designed to deliver the 35mm viewing angle equivalent of a 24-1,200mm zoom).

Both cameras features a 12.1-million-pixel CMOS sensor and Digic 5 processor.
