Last week, the site told photographers that their time was up and that they would now have to pay to retrieve any images stored.

However, following a complaint, the site has since extended the deadline.

A message posted on the site reads: ‘We have been notified by one user that they experienced problems downloading some of their pictures which were located on one of our servers… in view of this we have extended the time available for free downloads to 20th March 2013.’

A member of the Bureau of Freelance Photographers (BFP) has reported problems downloading images, according to BFP’s legal adviser Stewart Gibson.

Amateur Photographer has yet to receive a response from Fotopic.net regarding the cost of the downloads after the deadline runs out.
