A photographer has appealed for help to recover an Olympus lens worth hundreds of pounds that was stolen from the Wolverhampton Camera Fair last Sunday.

The missing lens is an OM-fit

Terry Calvert, a photographer from Solihull, West Midlands, said the recently serviced Olympus 55mm f/1.2 OM-mount lens – valued at around £325 – was stolen from a table at the fair on 7 February.

The ‘new condition’ lens carries a serial number of ‘131903’.

Terry, a long-time reader of Amateur Photographer, said: ‘If you are offered this lens or know of its whereabouts, contact West Midlands Police on 0845 113 5000.’

The crime reference number is: 20WV-25412P-16.

On its website, the Wolverhampton Camera Fair is billed as the largest independent camera fair in the UK – regularly featuring 100 tables and attracting a wide range of vendors.

The one-day fair sells everything from vintage and collectible cameras, as well as digital gear, and welcomes anyone with camera gear to sell, as well as professional dealers.
