A photographer has today launched a nationwide appeal for a Gordon Brown lookalike after apparently spending six years searching without success.

Alison Jackson, who is renowned for her pictures of celebrity look-alikes in compromising positions, has just a week to find an impersonator for the British prime minister.

Launching the appeal on her website (pictured) Jackson wrote: ?Desperately seeking Gordon Brown lookalikes for a documentary project.?

Castings are due to take place at The Metropolitan Hotel, Old Park lane, Mayfair, London from 3pm-9pm on 21 January.

Other famous name doubles sought include singer Lilly Allen, and chefs Gordon Ramsay and Marco Pierre White.
