Pentax Japan has today released a firmware update for its K-01 compact system camera, promising benefits including improved autofocus performance.

Firmware version 1.01 also features ‘improved stability of recording’ when using some SDHC and SDXC memory cards, says the firm.

Pentax Japan adds that users will also see better stability in terms of ‘general performance’.

Announced in February, the mirrorless camera features a 16.28-million-pixel (23.7×15.7mm) CMOS imaging sensor.

Wish Pentax would provide a firmware upgrade for the K-x to provide improved autofocus perfomance. I find Auto focus on the K-x very hit and miss read many other complaints re this subject.
