Pentax and Olympus have this morning both unveiled 10-million-pixel digital SLRs for UK launch this autumn.

Olympus has unwrapped what it claims is the ?smallest and lightest? digital SLR in the world – in the form of the 10-million-pixel E-400. This is due in November as a £700 kit that includes a new 14-42mm E-system lens or as an £850 twin-lens kit that adds a new 40-150mm zoom. Claimed features include an improved Supersonic Wave Filter system – technology designed to shake dust from the imaging sensor.

Meanwhile, due out next month is the 10.2MP Pentax K10D. Pentax?s new DSLR also boasts a system designed to keep dust away from the surface of the CCD imaging sensor (called Dust Removal).

Also featured is a Shake Reduction system to help combat camera shake and technology aimed at converting analogue data into digital faster and ?more accurately?. We understand that the K10D is likely to cost between £600-700 body only.
