Panasonic has incorporated an f/1.4 Leica DC zoom lens into its new 10.1-million-pixel Lumix LX7 digital compact (pictured).

The Leica DC Vario-Summilux lens is designed to deliver the 35mm viewing angle equivalent of a 24-90mm zoom.

Features include equivalent ISO sensitivity of 80-12,800 and Full HD (1,920×1,080 pixel) video.

Also unveiled today is the 12MP Lumix FZ200, which sports a 25-600mm lens claimed to deliver f/2.8 throughout the zoom range.

The FZ200’s top equivalent ISO is 6,400.

Prices and availability had yet to be confirmed at the time of writing.

    As the LX5 was so well recieved, lets hope the updated LX7 will turn out to be just as good.
