An amateur photographer was shocked to discover that the soon-to-be-launched Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2 carries a ‘£30,000’ price tag when pre-ordered on the Amazon website.

Andrew Goloskof, who works at Tewkesbury School in Gloucestershire, suggested that anyone who is not perhaps looking for a bargain should take a look at Amazon’s website.

As we reported earlier this month, the G2 is set to cost £629 in a kit that includes a new Lumix G 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH Mega OIS lens.

Panasonic UK had yet to comment on the apparent Amazon discrepancy.

The advert points out that delivery of the ‘£30,000’ G2 is free.
