Photo studio chain Olan Mills Photography has ceased trading and will be placed in administration in the next few days, the firm’s website has confirmed.

The Northamptonshire-based business, which specialises in family and baby portraits, is understood to have already closed all of its 34 outlets, many of which were based in branches of Mothercare.

There are fears that many of those who have paid for shoots in advance will not receive a refund.
