Teah Higgs? picture of an orang-utan and baby (right) beat more than 10,000 entries, winning her an Olympus E-500 digital SLR and two zoom lenses.

Wildlife photographer Chris Packham, who was one of the judges, said: ?Teah?s photograph is touchingly beautiful and had to be wonderful to take top prize in what was another year of fantastic photographs.?

The best images from this year?s competition were revealed at the Natural History Museum in central London at 1pm today.
