Nikon has revamped its Capture NX image editing software to launch Capture NX 2.

Claimed to deliver ?effortless results? Capture NX 2 adds Selection Control Point. ?This enables users to apply enhancements such as Unsharp Mask and D-Lighting to a specific area that are immediately viewable on the monitor,? explains the firm.

Also featured is Auto Retouch Brush, a mode designed to enable the photographer to remove specks of dust from an image and ?match the surrounding colour and tones?.

A ?Quick Fix? function combines frequently used tools such as Level, Tone Curve and Exposure Compensation and Saturation in a single window.

Capture NX 2 costs from £129.99 and will be in shops from 20 June and to download. It costs £79.99 to upgrade from Capture NX. Details will be available shortly by visiting www.europe-nikon.com/capturenx
