To take part in the #12DaysofNikon project, entrants should post their photos on Nikon’s official Facebook page or the photographer’s own Twitter account, adding the hashtag #12DaysofNikon and the relevant #challenge set for that day.

‘Share your festive images with us on social media for your place in the [online] gallery… plus the chance to win some exclusive prizes and see your work exhibited in London,’ urge organisers.

The image gaining the most public votes, once shared, wins the daily challenge.

‘As well as this, we will also be awarding a Nikon’s Choice award for each challenge, who will win a Nikon School voucher and a place in our exhibition.’

The theme for today, Challenge 3, is ‘Festive Reflections’, for the chance to win a Nikon AF-S Micro Nikkor 60mm f/2.8G ED lens.

Nikon says this could be a reflection in a bauble or through your window, or more emotional, reflecting on the year gone by.

There is still time to enter the challenges set on the first two days of the competition, which carry the themes ‘Winter Wildlife and ‘Generations’.

Challenge 4 will be revealed tomorrow.
