Apple has today released the latest iOS update, iOS 9.2, including USB camera connectivity to your computer.
Included in this update is iPhone support for the Apple Lighting to USB Camera adapter. This feature allows pictures to be imported directly to your phone from your camera using the Lightning to USB camera adapter cable, available to purchase from Apple.
This Apple adaptor plugs into bottom of an iPad or iPhone and has a female USB socket, allowing connection to your camera using its USB cable. You can then import photos and videos to your phone for sharing on social media such as Facebook, Instagram or YouTube, thus circumventing any need for Wi-Fi.
The Lightning to USB Camera Adapter supports standard photo formats, including JPEG and RAW, along with SD and HD video formats, including H.264 and MPEG-4.
