Actress Nicole Kidman today told an Australian court that she feared for her life when she was chased at high speed by a paparazzi photographer.

Kidman claims she was ?really really scared? when followed across Sydney by a paparazzo in a car that had ?run red lights?.

She alleges the incident led her to crouch down in the back seat of her car as she was being driven to her parent?s home in January 2005.

?I was frightened and I was worried about a car accident,? she told the New South Wales Supreme Court.

The actress was giving evidence as part of a defamation case between the photographer and an Australian newspaper.

Among those reporting the court case is the Daily Telegraph website which states that Kidman?s testimony ?evoked images of the Paris car chase in which Princess Diana was killed in 1997?.
