The GoPro Hero4 features 4K video and is expected to land on the UK high street on 5 October.

Priced £369.99, the GoPro Hero4 Black includes a 12-million-pixel stills camera, built to shoot at bursts of up to 30 frames per second, and features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

GoPro points out that users can extract an 8.3MP still image from 4K video footage.

The GoPro Hero4 Black also boasts improved low-light performance over previous models.

A second version, the GoPro Hero4 Silver, comes without some of its sibling’s video capture modes but includes a touchscreen in a kit costing £289.99.

GoPro is also set to introduce new accessories, including a Smart Remote, to allow remote control from up to 183m away.

Also due out is an improved battery pack, designed to deliver nearly twice the power of the camera’s built-in battery.

GoPro also makes a £99.99 entry-level model.
