Canon has today unveiled four new budget-priced, all-in-one, Pixma printers u2013 all due to go on sale next month.

The Pixma MP230 (£44), MG2250 (£49), MG3250 (£69) and MG4250 (£79) are A4 models designed to print, copy and scan.

The new line-up is headed up by the Pixma MG4250, features of which include a 6.2cm colour screen.

Images can be sent from a wireless device and printed without having to switch the printer on, manually, beforehand, according to Canon.

    So the Canon MG4250 will turn itself on. Cool, so will my HP Photosmart 7150.

    What would be equally useful is a printer that turned itself off when you’re done as well. Now that, I’d actually buy.

    And yes, there are valid, disability-related reasons why I need that.
