Canon claims to have improved the accuracy of AF when using Live View, as part of a firmware upgrade to the EOS 7D camera.

Canon adds that firmware version 1.0.9 also corrects a ‘phenomenon’ where in ‘rare instances, movie images shot by the camera may exhibit abnormal colours’.

And the update is designed to correct a problem regarding the shutter which, says Canon, ‘at certain timings… cannot be released when the camera’s built-in flash, or an external Speedlite is used for shooting’.
