Photography legend David Bailey (pictured) has been drafted in to judge a competition hosted by electrical retailer Currys.

Backed by Olympus and the Daily Telegraph the ?Our Lives? contest invites members of the public to submit up to 20 photographs across five categories at www.currysourlives.co.uk

Prizes include an Olympus E-410 digital SLR and a fortnight?s holiday.

The top nine shots in each category will star in a London photo exhibition.

The categories are Our People, Our Places, Our Environment, Our Lives in Motion and Our Events.

The contest closes on 11 August and the winners will be announced on 8 September.

Entry is free.

There will be one overall winner and five runners-up.

The winner?s prize will include a signed David Bailey print.
