Software giant Adobe is gearing up to release a version of Photoshop Elements 6 compatible with Macintosh computer systems.

The digital imaging software is expected to be available in the ?early second quarter? of this year.

As well as image editing features, Photoshop Elements 6 for Macintosh is designed to allow photo enthusiasts to ?organise and find photos quickly?.

Using Photomerge technology, users can ?combine the best facial expressions and body language from a series of shots to create single, perfect group shots’, claims Adobe.

There are three editing modes, covering beginner to ?expert? levels.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 costs around £55 and can be pre-ordered via www.adobe.com.
