I use Canon Zoombrowser to manage files. When making routine file edits like red-eye out, when the file is saved it seems to change the "date modified" field in the "Property" box to today's date from the date the picture was taken.
This creates the problem of placing the edited picture out of the chronological "date taken" order. I can not seem to find a way to prevent it from happening or to correct it once it has happened. Can any one help?

On a computer, there is 'date created' and 'date modified'. It seems perfectly logical that the 'date modified' field should be updated if, indeed, you modify a picture.

I don't know what software you are using to sort the pictures in chronological order but if you use the 'date created' property, everything should be as you wish.
