I don't 'do' portraits so I just grabbed this. This is the "What is my dog doing down there in the water?" pose. It was a long time ago............

This is one I like; taken in Sitges, Portugal a few years ago. Four of us had stopped in the town for a look-see and were sitting at a cafe table enjoying a drink when this gentleman just joined us at our table. He didn't speak English but was clearly a friendly local. We bought him a drink and did our best to communicate with him in a mixture of languages.

Also a nice portrait, Lynn. Did you take this, or was it your dog in the water...?! :)

I usually hate tattoos, but this one works.
    What's wrong with size 16?

There's nothing wrong with any size, but then, we've spent years telling people they shouldn't be happy about how they look.

Nothing other than she would benefit from being smaller. It's not a vanity thing, it's all about managing and minimising pain and discomfort.

This Gent came to me (an Actor) wanting to look 'Russian' so I hope I made him look like a KGB agent ! It did very well in Exhibitions and Camera Club Print Comps -- loads of awards ! I did a 20x16" Darkroom Print on Kentmere paper -- here is a scan from a 10x8" print . I used Canon FTbn + 100mm f2.8 SSC Canon lens, Ilford Pan F developed in ID11 1+1

My wife has endured my attempts to photograph her for over 40 years, and approved of very few of the results. The attached is one of these that I have been allowed to get printed at 40 x 50 cm and framed. It was taken on a beach in the Gower in Wales mid-morning in May, and the colour temperature was 'daylight'. Although I have cropped the image from a landscape shot, the details on the print are sharp. The 1000 pixel resized image appears soft, probably because I have not applied any additional sharpening. I have adjusted the levels before printing, but not the colour balance. It looks like a tinted monochrome shot, but there is some colour.
