Was going though some old photos on my old phone and came across this, never posted it at the time but it jumped out at me now for some reason

That works well. Novel variant on the spiral staircase theme.

I like that. It might be possible to crop slightly to lose the little blue triangle in the top left corner.

What was that old Big Yin routine about "YELLOW"? I think it's met it's match!

Thanks guys, I did wonder about the top left corner! the crops were leaving it a bit tight so I tried blacking it out but it looked like I'd done just that

    :D:):p

By coincidence, I watched my DVD of 'Vertigo' again yesterday.
When I say that this shot reminds me of some shots in one of the greatest films ever made I mean it as a compliment.
I understand why you've called it 'Yellow', but have you tried it in monochrome?
I don't know if the colour helps or not, so I've done a quick monochrome version for comparison.

Whoa there! There's a really odd positive-negative thing gping on there with the anti-slip tread edges now.

Mono really works well. Both work for me, corner and all.

I though it looked different in monochrome - initially, it's less clear if you are looking up or down because the handrails stand out less due to the lack of yellow behind them.

In 'Vertigo' these are some shots of a staircase in the Old Mission Church's tower (non-existent, so it must be a model made for the shot). The shots used a zoom lens that was 'zoomed' and moved during the shot so the perspective 'moves' too. I once saw this on on a very big cinema screen, and somebody sitting behind me rushed outside and threw up.

Very interesting Chester, I always toggle the colour/mono button while editing, in this case the colour just felt like it had more impact so I didn't give it a proper mono conversion at the time. I like your version too, and will put Vertigo on my list to watch :)

Be warned - I think it's a masterpiece, and my wife hates it.
After the first viewing, watch it again and try to work out how some of the shots were done with the technical limitations of the time. The music is brilliant too.

I like both. Not bothered by the corner at all.
