Anyone, anywhere in the world, who makes a pinhole photograph on the last Sunday in April, can scan it and upload it to this website where it will become part of the annual Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day celebration's online gallery.

NOTE: Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day is always the last Sunday in April. In 2011, Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day is April 24. Since this is also Easter Sunday, for 2011 only, they will accept pinhole photographs taken between April 23 and May 1.

You can find a location near you on the web link.

Royal Wedding Alternative - If anyone can supply a pinhole image of Kate and Wills there will be a memorable first prize :)

Last year over 3,400 photographers from 70 countries took part in this event - it's a lot of fun.

Lots of inspirational shots posted from previous years on the WPPD website.

It's great to see how different photographers decide what would make a good pinhole image

Out of interest, what kit do you use? I'll be shooting with both my Zero 45 and Holga 120 WPC on Sunday. I've not used either for a while so it'll be great fun.

Hi Zou - great to hear you are taking part.

I will be using a Canon 30D with a pinhole body cap and a wide angle wooden 120 camera made by Tony Taylor who has been featured in AP for his specialised skills and knowledge in pinhole work.

    Good luck with your day

Photo Walk 1 – 23 April – Alresford Walk – allow at least 2 hours

This walk will be around both New and Old Alresford. Lots of Georgian architecture and old buildings; flowing chalk streams and rivers and a thatched cottage (private property) that straddles the River Arle. We will be walking past the watercress beds, the medieval village of Abbotstone, St Mary’s Church and Old Alresford pond.
We will be leaving the Station Road car park at 3pm

Photo Walk 2 – 25 April – Old Portsmouth – allow at least 2 hours

This walk will be around historic Old Portsmouth. Lots of interesting buildings and details (new and old); Spinnaker Tower; inner harbour area with working fishing boats; cobbled streets; stainless steel; rust and reflections; busy main harbour with ships entering and leaving port on a regular basis. If we are lucky – there could be great light for an amazing sunset across the harbour.

Please meet at the Bridge Tavern at 3pm

Stunning weather in Portsmouth. It's amazing how many people want to talk about pinhole cameras when they see you using one.

I've posted a "Golden Hour Pinhole Bluebells" image in the Appraisal Lounge as an example of what Canon7D and a pinhole body cap can achieve.

(Thanks for all your help Mark - much appreciated)
