Well Geren, looking at the four you posted today I think you've got me! I'll have to take an educated guess . . . .
1. a very young William Eggleston
2. Sally Mann, it reminds me of her "What Remains" photographs
3. can't think!
4. Francesca Woodman, it looks like her sort of thing and I've seen photographs of her in an Aran sweater, I'm wrong, amn't I?
How'd I do?
Three out of four! Not bad at all. The first is indeed a very young William Eggleston. For some reason I have a hard time thinking of him as ever having been young! Next was indeed Sally Mann. She made a whole series of self portraits after she was injured by her horse. The last was Francesca Woodman - apparently one of her first ever photographs. And the one you missed was Carrie Mae Weems - I'm looking at her work just now as research for my own project.
Carrie Mae Weems, not a name I've come across . . . . I feel a wee bit of research coming on!
