...and these were taken with a bargain Voigtlander Vito II (cost less than the D&P...) that will make an appearance in Classic Marques in the next day or two, along with a seriously nice pre-war Bessa.

Thanks, it's a lovely little camera - and almost mint as well! Just have to remember not to cram the viewfinder too much...

My latest 'Gift Treasure' a 1960's MINOLTA Autocord !! an Old Gent gave it to me with several other cameras -- it was all filthy dirty- the brown case and camera covered in DUST ! as i cleaned up case it all fell to bits ! I took off the focus hood 4 screws and nearly fainted at the state of the reflex mirror and rear lens surfaces !! Well -it is all 'Pristine and Very Happy' now !
i took some 'test' shots on 2007 dated Ilford XP2 400 Super -- all very sharp !! I found a Bayonet 1 Rollei Lens hood fits so it has a lens hood and new strap.

Another 'Gift Treasure' from the 89 year old Kind Gent was a 1961 Olympus PEN-EE 1/2 frame camera ! I had to clean it all up as usual. I read about it online. I loaded a 2000 dated Fuji Superia 800 found in the fridge that had been cut and used for testing already. I set 200ASA as it was so old and processed in C41 and got some results ! I tried it with an old Dixons 177 manual flash, close and far distances and the 56 year old Selenium Cell still worked !

Trying my 'Gift' 1955 Minolta Autocord TLR for COLOUR -- I loaded with 2005 dated Fuji Superia 100 120 size and on processing this time had bad Light Fogging on many frames. I had a look for the Dreaded 'Foam' in the grooves -- then realised that the 1970's 'Foam' was not invented in 1955 !! They had used black Twine stuff. I had to clean it out and replace with small strips of hard foam.
    Here are some results ---
See the LIGHT LEAK on this one ---

I used the 1/100th. 1/200th and 1/400th shutter speeds and they seem accurate enough

went to London for the 'London FILM Photography' meet-up using only 'Medium Format' Cameras -- well I cheated a bit because BEFORE the meet time I was using my Olympus SP-570UZ 'Digital' !! I used my 1956 AGFA ISOLETTE III with 75mm f3.5 Solinar lens and 02/2007 dated Ilford XP2400 Super which I rated at 320 ASA and home-processed in a new batch of C41. Medium Format is not really the right one for 'Street Candids'

Some snappies from the lovely Voigtlander Bessa I was rambling about earlier. The landscape is a negative scan - I think there might be a hint of a light leak, and I deliberately left in the comedy fringe. I think something might be fraying...

OK, I'll own up, I'm a farmboy at heart!

The lens is a Voigtar triplet, uncoated as you'd expect pre-WW2, but looks to be a quite reasonable performer. Leastaways, my flaws are large enough to hide its!

I went to the home of the 89 year Old Gent who gave me the 1955 MINOLTA Autocord and lots of other 'Treasures' and had a photo session with him and his wife as a 'Thank you' so they had some 10x8" darkroom prints to give to Son and Daughter. He dressed up for me in his 'Clown Outfit' !! I used the Autocord to show him how I can get good results. FILM was 1993 dated ORWO NP22 120 size which I processed in the liquid 'Promicrol' 1+14 for 12 mins @20oC-- a very good combination I found.
