Unfortunately, on site there is no description of theme which we can see in the magazine.

There is a description on the site. Most likely will be repeated in the magazine today (I haven't seen it yet) or next week's edition.

When you'll open it, you'll see what I mean.

On the APOY section of the site and Selecting Macro World the bold heading under the third prize is giving tips for shooting Landscapes at Dusk and Dawn.

Is the category really Macro World as specified or is it restricted to flowers and insects which constitute only a tiny (no pun intended) proportion of potential macro subjects?

    No answer?

    Is that because no-one knows?

    Chrissie?

Yes, would be nice to know - otherwise my arachnids, gastropods and chilopodas are out of the running due to AP's Legism.

I would interpret it (from previous years' rounds) as BUGS and plants of any description. ;)

Done mine, so I've booked number 51 spot - Haha!

Here are the things you can include:

    • insects
    • arachnids
    • myriapods
    • woodlice
    • worms
    • gastropods

    Hope that clears it up.

A bitter disappointment. I had hoped to put in a macro photograph of some tiny robots that the Edinburgh Observatory has been developing for use in space.

Oh well, still time to find some wee beasties.
