Would anyone be interested in a day, one weekend probably in late February/early March, taking photographs in and around Suffolk?

Locations I was thinking of include:

    - Aldeburgh:

    - Leiston Abbey

    - Dunwich
    - Woodbridge
    - Sutton Hoo
    - Southwold (for the beer lovers!)

And although not strictly Suffolk, or even coast, there's Dedham, East Bergholt and Flatford aka "Constable Country":

There's car parking at most places, but if people could get a train to Colchester I can easily fit 6 plus myself in our MPV, making life a bit easier for some, perhaps.

Please note any interest - ta very much! :D

I'd be up for it if I'm free.

Currently can't make Sunday 18th Feb or the weekend of the 3rd/4th of March.

Orford is a lovely place too. Not only the coastal area, but Steve's Smokehouse is a must visit (no, it's not the Suffolk version of an Amsterdam coffeeshop  , but it is a smokehouse where Steve sells everything from fish and cheese to garlic).
Orford also has a castle and there is another nice castle just down the road at Framlingham.

It is lovely - but it doesn't re-open until the Easter break. And there's the lighthouse and what not.

Hmm... if people give me a stronger idea of what and where they'd like to shoot, maybe we can have a second trip in late spring/early summer.

    Great idea.

    How about Walberswick? or Thorpeness?

Is my dog allowed to come as well?

I went to Dunwich last year on february. It was a very windy and very cold day...brrrr ...get a couple of nice shots... the one that I managed to take without shaking to much (forgot the tripod at home) :)

I can't see dogs being an issue, so long as you're all "responsible" with your animals.

No problems....Except he is being too loud at times (is his way to show that is happy)...and... except oversleeping :)

He is 9 yeard old and he has arthritis.....bless him.
