Lyme Regis has a seasonal embargo on scaffolding which has just ended and there were so many applications that they had to close the whole street. Here is on set of scaffolding covering three frontages![IMG]

Well, you've all given me a bit of a job. Going through the entries now!

(Foot still in a cast, need to keep it raised as much as possible and arm still limited movement and not allowed to use for any weight bearing).

Okay, I can't sit typing for too long, so this'll be short.

Firstly, thank you all for taking the time to post so many pictures, there were some really great shots. In some ways, picking a winner from that many should be hard - but sometimes a shot just absolutely stands out and speaks to us doesn't it?

Here are some I liked in particular,

    Broken ATM by @AlanW

Such great timing, and a lovely surreal street shot with a lot going on, I laughed out loud for real when I saw this.

    Breaking Glass by @Fishboy

So much to enjoy, but the actual cracks just keep giving the more you stare at them.

    Broken Golf Ball by @spinno

Because if that's not the world's best timing what is?

    The Loser by @SXH

Just a hint of action and emotion, and I loved it.

But, the winner, and I knew it was as soon as I saw it, is this.

    Cala Leaf Bleeding by @Geren

I have to say, Geren appears to live near a lot of broken stuff, but I just loved this photograph. I could look at it for hours. Thanks for taking it and posting it Geren. You win!

Is that the correct spelling of Cala? Or misspelt to fit the theme?

It was a typo created by the auto correct which I tired of attempting to change!

Thank you Tony for your very kind words. Going to have a glass of wine and think about a new theme....watch this space. Or one in the Exhibition Lounge!

"Just a hint of action and emotion, and I loved it."

Most of the action was whacking it against the edge of a table to break it. The emotion came when it bounced back and bruised my right forefinger!

But thanks for the mention. :)

Just caught up with this: good bit of judgement I'd say. Well done Geren.
