Yer - OK, so I'm confused It is Friday 27th August today isn't it?
Yep, well spotted - now corrected
Eh? What's corrected? Did I wake up two days ago or is it September already?
*Huw-eyyyy!!!* I think Chris is on the gin again...
Do you mind, Whiskey!
It was a 'cut n paste' error so changed August to September - simples!
But the clue is in the date Chris - it's not September for another 2 days...
Chris used to be a boy scout and so is Being Prepared!
Looks like you're not the only one with probs Chris
Yeah... I see Mr Ox has got away from his drinks and managed to tag the Dr. I think they ought to check there PMs...
I think DrWho is confused with what First View is about, unless of course that photo really was taken from the camera today, but I'm pretty sure BBC isn't filming with that particular Doctor Who right at the mo ...
in a parallel universe they are, they are, they are, they are, they are, but not in that one
Well I've tried four or five times to link to a pic on Flickr but I just get a meaningless url instead of an image. I give up, it's just not meant to be.
Took me a little while to figure out the "new" way of flickr.
I uploaded, and then clicked on the pic to bring it up in a hover box, then clicked on all sizes and did the right click copy image location from one of the images from that.
Yep me too Dave. I'm fed up.
I've just seen the post above mine. No wonder I can't upload my superb prize winning shot. Could some one please explain what you have to do to get a shot in the forum from flickr. Spent all day trying, yaaaaaaawn.
upload the picture to flickr.
go back to the flickr homepage and click on the picture to view it in your photostream
click on the pic wih the magnfiying glass to zoom it on screen
click on "view all sizes"
click on one of the sizes, [I normally click on the 500 pixels one]
right click on this image, and copy image location/copy image url
test it's correct by pasting this into a new browser/tab
use this .jpg url to upload the link to the "image" part of the posting in here.
It doesn't work in Firefox any more btw, that might explain it for some people.
I now have to use Safari.
- Click on the image you want.
- Click on "Share This" (top left of image)
- Click "Grab the HTML/BBCode" (DON'T click "Grab the link - that's just a page URL, not the image URL)
- Choose "Original"
- The html is in the box. Copy the bit beginning ending .jpg (after img src, beginning http:// )
Moving to Photobucket
We have decided to move to Photobucket where it is just one click to get the URL.
I've done a picture based tutorial for those that want to change (it's also in the How to post Images sticky) Clicky
Re: Moving to Photobucket
Or, there's the FirstView site...
Well I've finally managed to post it via Photobucket.
