Ba Boooom, that's a great price Jerry :) Although, it ain't the most robust of lenses, I had a fiddle with one and it's quite very good optically and, yep, the AF is nice :) Sadly, I have become an AF only picture taker .... if I want anything to be remotely in focus :(

Cheers and enjoy your new found AF ;)

I was very fortunate to be able to buy from Ffordes a used, but E++, SMC Pentax FA 50mm f/1.7 autofocus lens for about £45 ish. It is super sharp and give great images with good contrast.

I also have the Super Takumar 55mm f/1.8 M42 lens which came on my father's SV. I can use it with the adaptor mount ring in manual only of course.

£119 for a new one is a great price.

I think the standard 50mm lens is sadly overlooked and can be a good (cheapish) way to get excellent images.

Indeed, it is David .... the 50mm lens, that is :)
