I've done hardware upgrades in the past but this has got me stumped.

I decided to install upgrade my desktop with some new usb 3 ... put it in the spare pci slot and there was an immediate conflict with the Graphics card in the other slot. I know this through a process of elimination. Right I thought BIOS will sort it, guess what, there is no provision in the BIOS to allocate a card in the additional pci slot. Okay, change it in device manager, oh hell, steering isn't possible and set to automatic and I'm locked out of making changes.mmmmmm suggestion on a beer mat please ?

 

I had a problem when I tried to add USB3 ports to my desktop. I ended up returning the item to the supplier. I later used a different brand (Transcend iirc) and it installed without any issues.
