New York

    Someone was asking for advice on New York.

    I'm back from there. What worked for me was mostly 30mm on full frame. For the 'classic' views there were railings to balance on so a gorillapod and bean bag were all I needed. I would have bought a tripod there but it wasn't necessary. It would have been a pain to lug around.

    For example, this was handheld from the Staten Island Ferry, pressed up against a window:

    Was speaking to my wife about visiting New York last night then I thought about which lens to take. I use FF and prefer to use primes in particular the 35mm. May even drag along the 20mm.

    This is the camera out of the above, there are a lot of dust, repair map tools repair it.........
