    And that red cast is real, it's from the murram dust all around. The beggars roll in it.

    Some choice expletives rattled around my head today as I entered the botanics to see a sign saying the glasshouses were shut due to the wind... Will have to try again another time.

    Edit to add the rare-flowering smelly konjac is in bloom now so double annoyance!

    I'v tried to find something that is different to all the earlier entries.

    This is a Kodachrome slide that I've copied using a Pentax APS-C DSLR and a Sigma 50 mm F2.8 macro lens with a Nikon slide copier (that was made to fit their 60 mm macro) attached with a stepping ring. A strange combination, but inexpensive and it works well. At last I can get a RAW file from a slide.

    The original was taken in Montelcino over 20 years ago.
