    Anyone use one?

Any comments about quality of the things, prices, do the cheap ones work?

I used a Voigtlander one for a while on my M3 without any problems.

Was that the lens or the adapter?

I have a mixture of Voigtlander and Leica ones; there is no practical difference in use on any film Leica or Voigtlander camera I've used.

The cheap Chinese ones may sometimes be of the wrong thickness, but I have never heard of anyone having problems with the Voigtländer version.

Ah, that's what I wanted to know.

    Thank you chaps.

Interestingly I use a mixture of cheap Chinese adapters and oightlander ones: all work perfectly on an M4p, but on an M2 and M1 some of the Chinese ones refuse to mount and those which do have a tendency to jam in the camera throat of the M1/2. I wonder if the lens mount specification has changed marginally since the 1960s?

    Dear John,

Doubt it. Why would they? More likely that the manufacturers have become sloppier. Though conceivably, Leica's tooling has worn.
