    Went up here on Thursday night. There were huge swarms of flies until I got down to the waterside. Hardly any fliew there which was odd.

    Like it., What are they logs that have sprouted? Nice shot lower left too with that arched log. Might have left him out of this and done him separately. Not sure it needs a leading line.

    Definitely looks better bigger (i.e. on Flickr) - nice dramatic sky. I can't decide on the log, but I'd clone out the two signs on the right hand side horizon line.

    Thanks for the replies. They are just a couple of odd trees Mike. They are actually a lot closer to the shore than they seem because of the wide angle lens. They would be partially submerged when the waterline rises.

    That is a fine shot and made doubly so by the dramatic sky. Like Tony though I'd be inclined to lose the two channel markers on the right side.
