Light trail settings

    hi all
    I have the Nikon D3300 , and light trail pictures really interest me the camera pretty new to me just wondered if anyone had a basic setting I could start with ?

    depends on how fast the lit object is travelling. Once you have decided the exposure time to blur the motion, then the rest follows.

    RovingMike Crucifixion's a doddle...

    You would have to set it manually, or put in a few stops under exposure to stop it over exposing in the dark. Then set a fairly narrow aperture and long exposure like 2 secs or even 5 or more. Just do a few and see, but you need to be on a tripod..
