As per title, I'm looking to take some landscape photos without leaving the city. All suggestions are welcome.

Primrose Hill, Parliament Hill and Hampstead Heath for views of the City and West End.

Totteridge and Mill Hill for what someone described as the countryside in the city.

Greenwich and Richmond for the other side of the river.

Thank you very much! That'll get me started. Now where is that sun?

Loads of parks, too, but don't forget other open spaces: urban landscape?

You don't necessarily need sunshine, either.

There are some hilly bits of SE London all around Crystal Palace and Norwood... some great views with a lot of depth (possibly even central London landmarks in the background if you're lucky). Richmond Park is great for pseudo-countryside views... herds of deer (as long as you avoid the herds of 4x4s ;) )

Moody shots are better without sun.

On the eastern side there is Epping Forest. Much of it is in Greater London, and all of it is owned or managed by the Corporation of the City of London.

It doesn't quite meet the terms of the OP's question, but the best place in London for a landscape photographer is the platform at King's Cross just before the 12:00 to Inverness leaves!
