Is this a Flash with Camera or vice versa?

    I did that with both a 540 and 360...they worked with the Qs but for most purposes the 200 FG was the best - a wee bit smaller so it didn't dominate as much

    The Ricoh GXR has an EVF which sits on the hot shoe. It is great, but of course then one can only use the built in pop up flash. Compromises are needed to keep the unit small.

    Why worry about an evf? Get one of those Hama or similar tele/wide optical finders for £30 maximum. They work really well, no problem judging roughly where the edges are. Got mine for less than a fiver.

    Link please! I haven't seen anything which works from 08-Wide (3.8mm) to 06-tele (45mm).

    Thanks for that. An optical viewfinder is of no use to me but I had forgotten about LCD screen loupes which were shown at the bottom of the eBay link. I might get a basic one for my NEX but they do add a fair bit of bulk...
