Hanging around by Adrian Sadlier, on Flickr

A simple, straightforward nature shot of a species so common they are sometimes considered vermin!

    But I like it.

    What do you think?

    RovingMike Crucifixion's a doddle...

Face against the light b/g works well. But I don't think the NH world lobs out too many brownie points for shots of squiggles, unless doing something amazing.

Purists would probably argue that you should have kept all the tail in shot... Still it's a pleasant enough shot.

I looked at the bigger version on Flickr and looks surprisingly noisy for ISO800 - or is it a heavy crop?

I know, but sometimes cute is enough for me!

It's not a heavy crop - it's 2012 technology! We are spoilt by the high ISO capabilities of even entry level modern cameras :)

Clearly I'd better have a closer look at my D7000's output - I thought they looked remarkably clean at high ISO - though I am more used to pre-2010 Canon's...
