I have been trying to get a 'Crown Bounce 270A' flash unit to work with my 'Konica FC-1' but the top third of the picture is always black.
I have the flash tilted straight forward, the speed at 1/250 and aperture setting as shown on the flash for the distance.
Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong, please?
    Thanks,
    Andy J.

Yes, you are using too fast a shutter speed. Your camera has a maximum flash sync speed - exceed that speed and you will have partially blacked out pictures.

The speed you should be setting the shutter at with this gun is a 60th of a second.
