...so what am I doing wrong this time? I expect it's me, as usual...

I'm editing a photo I scanned from a print and saved as a TIFF. Now I want it as a JPEG for faster downloading to a photobok site, but for some reason Elephants is only giving me a limited number of file type options - PSD, Targa, Photoshop RAW, PNG and TIFF I think.
    Bright ideas welcomed!

    Thanks,

    Adrian

Does the image have layers? If so, you'll have to flatten/merge them before you can save it as a jpeg. Hope that does the trick!

I'll check this evening - I didn't think I'd added any layers, but...

Also, if the tiff image is 16 bit you'll need to convert it to 8 bit to save as a jpeg ....I think that's right, I'm on a bus right now!

Make sure you press.....save as.....and not......save......You probably know this but I just thought I would mention it.

That WPS my guess, if you are working with higher than 8 bit It won't do .jpg. Good to see that problem is solved.
