    As I have no idea what a pocket priest is, and I do know what this is, I guess the answer is no!

    So far not hits, not even warm, but one thing I will divulge is that it is sterling silver - not that that helps terribly much, but it is a clue.

    A priest is a club for the dispatch of (small) fish/animals/birds generally on their way to the cooking pot.

    so its valuable, smallish, made to hang on a chain rather than go in a pocket, not a pen or marker (scribe) though being on a chain it would be for ready use - torch.

    Love the logic, but no. It is an old fashioned thing, but I used to use it a lot when I was younger, but not so much since I left the UK for foreign climes.
