....... baking chocolate cakes
021Hannover Xmas Market by Chris Connorton, on Flickr
My first contribution to this forum competition.....
If I'm off sick, then yes, an afternoon trying to predict which cheesy music they'll attmept to use in a pun-tastic manner is absolutely a favourite pastime!
Probably regret this....
Inspired by the selfie thread and the young folk nowadays with their stupid snapchat filters etc. Happy Christmas selfie for you.
The pout is hidden by the animal filter. Luckily.
Oh and just to be clear, I had to hunt these apps down for this purpose. I am not a snapchat filter guy!

Reindeer remains: (Prancer, Dancer, Donner, Blitzen and Rudolph). Image taken in Kirkenes, north Norway where these antlers were for sale. (Yes, I know, a bit of a downer to wrap up Christmas)
'Tis the season for some to regale their achievements, their wonderful families and their good fortune.
Here is my wish for you all.
.............. to pull funny faces
After Christmas we did a group photo and had to bribe the younger members to sit still by saying that the could do a two selfies each (10 sec shutter delay) and in one of them funny faces were allowed
Here is one result

A last one, just under the wire...
...for seeing just how close you can get to the LD50 for chocolate...
Stormy sea, but cosy at home.
The turkey that came for Christmas and stayed on into the new year...
Well it's been a tough decision as yet again there's been a high standard of entry. There are many notable entries, not least Alan's "peace on earth", Geren's wet Helensburgh, El Sid's Ferrero Rocher filter, P Murrell revellers', SXH'S damp Squibs, Kate's Alladin cave and Alan's wreath ensemble. Really everyone's submission would have been a worthy winner, but there can only be one winner and that is Roger Mac's family face pulling. It really struck a chord with me, as the one...possibly only thing I truly love about Christmas is being surrounded by family and loved ones.
So we'll done everyone, especially Roger and over to you for next months theme.
Congratulations Roger, a worthy winner . . . . . and next year's Christmas card sorted
Well done Roger - summed up the festivities for many I imagine!
Thanks for the accolade which I am not sure I really deserve. I will come up a theme tomorrow but I am sure it will not be as good as as December's
Incidentally I put that image onto my Facebook page and Facebook correctly identified two of the people - a bit scarey
Well done Roger! Hope you find something to get us all through January!!
Excellent and congratulations, Roger. As they are won't to say in Star Wars: "May the forks be with you." Or something like that.
