    'Positive Frames'

    The Finfest 2002

    Photographic Competition

    Finfest, the Finsbury Park Community Festival has partnered with Finsbury Park First and key local family businesses to encourage photographers to show the Finsbury Park area and its people through a positive lens.

    The ‘Positive Frames’ Photographic competition encourages all photographers, amateur and professional, young and old, to discover and document the positive aspects of the Finsbury Park area in the following categories:

    1) Work & retailing

    2) People

    3) Quality of life

    4) Multi-cultural life

    5) Finsbury park and the environment

    A prize will also be given for the best picture taken by a youth 18 under.

    - 6 winners photographs published as postcards for the festival

    - 6 winners & 6 runners up will get free consultation and framing by John Jones | artSauce.

    The winning entries for 'Positive Frames’ will be on view at the Finfest, on Sunday 14th of July 2002, and then at the John Jones |artSauce gallery on Stroud Green Road following the festival.

    Contest rules are available from the Finfest website at www.finfest.org and by emailing positiveframes@finfest.org

    The deadline for photographs to be entered is 12 noon on 20th June, and should be submitted to Finfest, Unit 6 Wells House, 5 – 7 Wells Terrace, London N4 3JU.

    The panel of judges, which will meet at the end of June to select the winning entries includes Photographer, Eleni Leoussi, a Finsbury Park area resident who has established her reputation over the last 25 years as one of the premier dance photographers in the UK.
