Anyone else confused by the theme and synopsis being incompatible. None of the examples fit the theme. My dictionary states that landscapes are usually extensive.

My advice is be equally abstruse, recondite, mysterious, Delphic and recherche in your submission. It works.

Isn't there perhaps an interesting allotment nearby? This would cover landscape and small plot of land very neatly, eh?

I was thinking of a roundabout.

Well, makes a change from lateral thinking - more circular thinking, eh?

Not that difficult to understand really. "A small plot of land" is another reference to a Bowie song. Maybe as a small tribute to a great artist, who knows, but not a theme to be taken literally. I thought we'd got over this hurdle last month. It's a pretty straight forward landscape round really.

    The brief is as follows:

"For this round, we want to see your landscape and cityscape photographs"

I reckon I can understand that.

Shame I'm surrounded by the sea.

You could stand in the sea and point your camera at the dry bit where you've just been standing!

    You live in a lighthouse?

Isn't there a stray oil rig hanging about in your neighbourhood, Kate?

Yes. It is sitting there with a lot of diesel oil on board and seeping out. Nice area too. Shame, although it has generated a lot of rather amusing comments amongst us locals.

My point is, does a landscape include the sea? No, I guess not. As for a city? Nearest is about 100 miles away on the mainland.

A small patch of your garden, even though it might only boast a single shrub, now there's an idea to motivate you.

Any chance of the top 50 results being posted?

    Cheers.

I see the jump jump and on and on is still there when stepping through the winners.

APOY timetable seems to be slipping this year.

Maybe they should just switch it to our themes? ;)
