Sent in an entry for round 6, but have not received the automatic reply.
    Is there a problem?

Just sent my entry in and I have indeed received an auto reply.

Not expecting much as it's hardly typical 'street'!

Good luck (that came out God luck! Should have left it). I've put one in as well and not the normal street either! I wish everyone would do that! Not to worry. Normal service will resume, as always.

I put one in at the start of the month and got the proper acknowledgement. Definitively expecting it to be unplaced again, although I did once receive the consolation prize of a messenger bag for allowing DD to comment on it.

I reckon we are all just agent provocateurs! Pushing AP to be crazy and pick one of us as a winner!
Care to guess what will win?
    B&W
    Shot by the Ganges?
    A dog?

I will go for the B&W. I do have one of hose that I rather like but am saving it for a club competition as I only took it a few days ago - after I entered my official one.

You are putting in a shot of stockings??? ;) Or did you mean one of those?

    Good luck anyway.

:mad: , But I do have a couple (from the Royal Mile) whose main attribute is a marked absence of stockings!

    Bugger!

Mine is in colour, isn't shot near a river and doesn't have a dog in it.

Like Roger, the only prize I ever won from an APOY entry was a (very good) messenger bag as a result of it being passed over to Appraisal.

    Ah now....

I have a river, but no people, nor any dogs and it's in colour.

    Haha!
Mine is a monochrome. It is wet....... but no surprise there!

I don't know if anyone has responded to your enquiry, but I too have sent an entry in about half an hour ago and I am normally furnished with a fairly swift auto confirmation, but I've still had nothing. I know that APOY has pretty much been ignoring my entries for the last two years but at least they allow be the hope that the latest entry might just stand a chance. I guess they have just moved this up a notch and not bother even to let my entry into the pot.

Mine is in colour, slightly ambiguous as to the main subject and no water or dogs in sight. Doesn't stand a chance which is a pity as I really fancied the prize.

Mine is in B&W, and it's definately not staged.

Well, that's the end of that round.

Time to start thinking about "Lie of the Land" tomorrow.

What do folks think might be successful in that one?

    Hello to everyone!
I had the same problem as well: I sent the email with my photo and didn't receive the usual reply... but if it happened to everyone now I'm quieter!
Good luck to all of us!

    Oh dear!
You've failed at the first hurdle Eric.
The title of the next round is LAY of the land...

So - what might be successful? I think I'll pass on that one. :D
