I managed 18 pts ;) which seeing it was the first time I've ever entered this competition, I'm really happy with.

Thanks very much... that should keep me happy for a few years.

I dont know whether its just me but when I enter a picture I always think its spot on but a few weeks later I've picked so many faults with it there's no way it will score points...I was convinced I'd done this months too dark

It says 30 in the magazine as well. The leaderboard has it right at 70 points, 40 from 1st round and 30 from second one.

Great showing from the forum again - congrats to everybody!

And I still have no idea of what to shoot for inside a man made structure :-(

Might I suggest you ask around if any of your friends might have an endoscope they would lend you. Now that could produce something very original, what?;)

Congrats to all who entered and scored!

Sadly I got another nil pointer, but hey ho, it was a laugh shooting it. I will post in in the aprailsal gallery now.

but surely that would result in a "made of man" rather than a "man made" structure :)

Semantics, old chap: if man wasn't involved in the making of mankind, then who else is at fault?

Giving him the benefit of the doubt... he might just do wedding photography and portraits as a side project along side a non photography job.
If you were advertising for this you wouldn't say you were an amateur photographer because you'd never get any work.
