I hope the coming AP makeover isn't going to use the colours on page 7 of this week's issue!

Bound to be some changes with a new editor in charge. I've been reading it on and off - mostly on - since about 1973, so I'll be fascinated to see how its latest incarnation turns out. Quite exciting really - it's a bit like wondering what the new Dr. Who is going be like. :)

Has Damien known you long, Fen?

Obviously my reputation proceeds me ;)

Or Damien got a good briefing of Garry when he took over

And there's nothing dirty about Glamour... As long as it's down tastefully.

Anyway, I meant to type Erotica :D

The new look on page 9 of this week's appears to dispense with proof-reading - there are still 2 'h's in "www.amateurphotographer.com", you know. Or maybe that's the way it'll "be a little different". ;)

There is definately a "new" feel to the mag, whatever it is, i do like it.

What surprised me this week was walking into the local newsagent on Easter Sunday, going to get last weeks copy(missed it on tuesday) and next weeks copy(the black and white issue) was waiting for me. Big thumbs up to that one.

Keep up the good work, but one comment i have to add is try and break some news in the magazine, and not re-print news items which have appeared on your web site first.

I imagine that's an impossibility, other than holding stories back. The printed issue takes time to hit the newsstand, the online news can be instantaneous.

Hoping to get mine tomorrow - still had the old one in my local newsagent. Looking forward to the monochrome stuff and D40x preview.

    dear damien

welcome to your new role as editor and congratulations on winning writer of the year

i presume this was not based on the phrases on p7 of issue 7th of April or on p9 of issue 14th of April where no capital letters or full stops are used and where in the date quoted the parts are round swapped and april should be April

based solely on this evidence future ap issues will be produced by children in america please tell me i'm wrong yours faithfully me ;-)

</minor whinge about punctuation, grammar and foreign date format>

Seriously, Damien, I'm looking forward to your new style. Go for it (on 28th April rather than on "april 28".)
