advice on video editing

I normally take football pics of my sons team using a still camera. However, the other day (night) I decided to use the compact camera instead to record a video. Bear in mind I've never used this particular camera for video work, so it really was hit and miss. Kept leaving the thing rolling, not realising I hadn't cancelled the recording function- Doh!!

Anyways I'm pleased I managed to follow the action and use the zoom function. I now want to know how best to edit it.
What are my options and what can I realistically expect?

I'd like to know if via editing...
    Can I zoom in,
    can I slow motion action,
can I remove sound from other parents,
    can I shorten the clips,
    join the clips etc etc

The camera used was the simple Lumix TZ70

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, the football manager has asked for a copy, so Ideally I'd like to tidy it up a little. I suspect he may wish to upload the video to his facebook page, what do I need to ensure if this is the case?
